About the Dragonfly Learning Center
The Dragonfly is a Reggio Emilia-inspired early learning center. We offer full-time and part-time care that aims to instill a lifelong desire for learning in your child. Our mission is to ensure your child receives the highest-quality early education that sets them up for life-long success. The Dragonfly is located in Frankfort, Ohio at the former Nostalgia Gathering Place.

The Reggio Emilia Approach to Learning
Factors of the Reggio Experience
The Reggio approach to learning uses the environment, the teacher, and the curriculum to enhance the learning of each child. We believe that there are 100 languages of children. Each experience a child has encourages learning.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed so that each child can guide their own learning. We encourage tangents and child-led discussions. Learning is measured by the work completed by your child over time. We keep portfolios to show you your child's learning. Some examples of our curriculum include healthy habits, insects, and the five senses.
TDLC Curriculum
At the Dragonfly Learning Center, we have developed our own preschool curriculum that goes beyond the basic requirements. It is our goal to provide our students with the highest quality early education. Each day we plan a number of activities including two small group activities, a large group activity, and a large motor activity. Additionally, you will stay up to date on your child’s progress via Brightwheel. Visit our center for more information about our curriculum!
Our Programs
Preschool
For preschool students between the ages of 3 and 5 years during the school year (August-May).
Summer Camp 2024
Summer child care for children ages 3-6 beginning in May. Our theme this summer is “grow your mind”. We will discuss the environment and how we can take care of our earth!
